Back to MapHow to Get to Rancho Penasquitos From The Orange County / LA Area - Take Highway 5 south to Oceanside. Go east on Highway 78 to Escondido. Take Highway 15 South toward San Diego. Exit on Highway 56 West. This highway takes you into Rancho Penasquitos and ends at Black Mountain Road.
How to Get to Rancho Penasquitos From Southern San Diego County – Take Highway 15 north and exit at Mercy Road. At the bottom of the off-ramp turn left and follow Mercy down to Black Mountain Road.
From Black Mountain Road traveling north, turn right on Oviedo Street. The schools are together on your right. Black Mountain Fields are behind the two schools and up the ramp to the upper level. Sunset Hills Fields are on the lower level to the west of Sunset Hills School. (detail map) (photo)
From the west, I-5 or I-805 to SR-52 E. From the east I-15 or SR-163 to SR-52 W. Take Convoy St. exit and turn south. Turn right at the first stoplight which is Copley Park Pl. Travel west to Copley Dr. and turn right. Copley Dr. goes north and then sweeps to the west. Turn left at the stoplight for Hickman Field Dr. Turn left into the Hickman Fields complex. Go past the baseball fields to the soccer fields which will be straight ahead. (detail map) (photo)
Take Black Mountain Road south of Mira Mesa Blvd. Turn right on Gold Coast Drive. Parking is on the west side of the school and the fields are on the north side. (detail map) (photo)

From Black Mountain Road turn east on Capricorn Way. Turn right on Westview Parkway and park in the lot south of the field. Or from Mira Mesa Blvd, turn north on Westview Parkway. Fields are 1/4 mi. on the left. (detail map) (photo)
Take Black Mountain Road north from Mercy Road or south from Ted Williams (highway 56) to the southern end of Rancho Penasquitos. Turn into Canyonside Park from Black Mountain Road then make an immediate right and go to the end of the parking area. (detail map) (photo)
