Directions to the Fields

 From The Orange County / LA Area to Penasquitos - Take I-5 south to Oceanside. Go east on Highway 78 to Escondido. Take I- 15 South toward San Diego. Exit on 56 West. This highway takes you into Rancho Penasquitos.

    From Southern San Diego County to Penasquitos – Take I-15 north

1.    Black Mountain Ranch (BMR): 

From I-5 take the 56 East to Camino Del Sur and turn left (north). Take Camino Del Sur to Carmel Valley Rd and go right (east). Park is about 1 1/2 miles down on left hand side.

From I-15 take the 56 West to Black Mountain Rd. Turn right on Black Mtn. Rd. (north), take that until it dead ends at Carmel Valley Rd. and turn right, park is on left.      
    

   2.  Hourglass Community Park Fields:  9400 Gold Coast Dr.

Take the I-15 Fwy. (going north or south) to Mira Mesa Blvd.  Go West.  Go two lights and make left onto Black Mtn. Rd.  Go through two lights and you will see the fields on left.  You can make a U turn at Gold Coast and park in a couple of  lots next to fields, or you can make a left on Gold Coast Drive. There are two lots on the left. 
 

   3.  Westview High School Field:  13500 Camino Del Sur

From Black Mountain Road take Highway 56 West. Turn right on Camino Del Sur.  School is on the left. 

 From Highway 5, take 56 east (Carmel Valley Road) to Camino Del Sur and turn left, fields are on the left.  

           * Camino Del Sur used to be called Camino Ruiz.

   4. Canyonside Park Recreation Center  12350 Black Mountain Rd

From Interstate 15 North, take the Ted Williams Parkway/Freeway exit and continue on the 56 West Freeway (Ted Williams). Exit at Black Mountain Road. Go south on Black Mt. Rd. approx. 1 mile,   Canyonside Park will be at the bottom of the hill on your right.
