PQ Premier is one of the largest and most comprehensive community-based programs in the region.  Teams play locally and regionally, and participate in numerous tournaments including the Presidio, State and National Cups. PQ Premier provides a safe environment that encourages a love of and respect for the game of soccer. Our first priority is player education and development. PQ Premier’s professional staff gives players the best opportunities to develop individual soccer skills, while at the same time teaching sportsmanship, dedication, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle. Please report 15-30 minutes before your scheduled tryout time to register. Parents MUST sign release forms (pdf) (word)  before players may participate in the tryouts. Bring water, shinguards, cleats and a ball. Shinguards are MANDATORY! Please plan to attend all tryouts, including call-back times.

In case of rain-outs, tryouts will be rescheduled with times to be announced.

Black Mountain Middle School: 9353 Oviedo Street
From Black Mountain Road traveling north, turn right on Oviedo Street. The schools are together on your right. Black Mountain Fields are behind the two schools and up the ramp to the upper level. Sunset Hills Fields are on the lower level to the west of Sunset Hills School.  (detail map)       

Try-Outs and Selection

  The PQ Premier program will conduct open try-outs to any interested, committed soccer player; they are not limited to residents of Rancho Penasquitos. Red teams will be selected before any other teams in an age group are formed so as to assemble the strongest teams possible. Once the Red teams are selected, then Black or developmental teams may be formed, providing there are enough qualified players to do so. A serious effort will be made to provide a place for every player deemed capable from within the community; still players from outside the community may be considered.
